Voile

Voile is a lightweight, sheer fabric that is typically made from cotton, though it can also be made from silk or synthetic fibres. It's known for its soft, flowing drape and slightly crisp texture.

Key characteristics of voile fabric include:

Sheerness: Voile is very translucent, allowing light to pass through easily. This makes it popular for curtains and other window treatments where you want to maintain brightness while still having some privacy.

Lightweight: Voile is incredibly light, giving it a delicate and airy feel.

Softness: Despite being sheer, voile has a soft touch and drapes beautifully.

Breathability: Due to its open weave, voile is breathable, making it comfortable to wear in warm weather.

Common uses for voile fabric:

Curtains and draperies: Voile curtains diffuse light gently, creating a soft and elegant look. They also offer a degree of privacy without completely blocking the view.

Clothing: Voile is used for making lightweight summer garments like blouses, dresses, and skirts. It's often layered over other fabrics for added dimension.

Accessories: Voile can be used to create scarves, shawls, and other accessories.

Crafts: Voile is sometimes used in crafting projects, such as making decorative overlays or gift bags.
